My 1960 appears to have 2 different door post - driver side, I believe is correct '60. Can someone tell me what the passenger side is? And then, what is the best way to proceed w weatherstripping. Will I need to get a different ws for the passenger side (assuming it's not from the '60??). And will there be any more surprises??

Thanks

I can't tell what you are asking from the pictures, but I have a 60 and I just went out and took these. I hope you see something you need.

Here's a link showing the differences for the three styles that 1955 copper mentioned. Look at the third picture and description. Info courtesy of Corvette Central of course.

It looks to me like your driver's side is a 1960-61 that is correct for your car. I can't really tell from the angle exactly what you have on the passenger side, but it looks like a 1956-58 style post.

As far as weatherstripping, you can get the weatherstripping that matches your door post, i.e., get a 60 weatherstrip for your left side and a 56-58 for your right side, or:

I had a pair of mismatched posts like yours, and, if you look at the middle two posts in that Corvette Central picture, look carefully at the top of the post. You can (I did it) VERY CAREFULLY take a dremel and cut the notch out of your right side that will then match up to your left side. Effectively you made that 56-58 post into a 60-61 post and then you can use 60 weatherstrip on both sides.

I thought that '62 were a 62-only item, with no serrations on the face of the post - they were smooth instead.
