$3000 would stop me. Maybe OP already offered $55k? which should buy that car. Paint and interior colors don't match trim tag would bother me, but I know alot of folks here it doesn't.
Also the inner fenders aren't supposed to be painted body color, nit pickin I know but should be semi-flat black.
For me, part of a good buy is a sound car WITH a good price I am comfortable with that I set, not the selling dealer. Too many midyears for sale every month.

The car was inspected for me by a professional inspector, and it has more issues than are readily apparent.
Even then, I still made what I thought was a fair offer for the car. But the car is on consignment, so the owner wants X amount, and the selling dealership wants some profit as well.
I am not fussing about that; that is the way consignments work.

OK, I made an offer on another car this morning.
I got a call from the dealer in Denver that they are now willing to accept my offer on the 64 coupe in Denver. They had previously said no to my offer, so I am no longer obligated to that offer.
Waiting to see what happens to the other first.
Stay tuned....

You'll be making a big mistake getting back on that car.
Remember it has issues.
You would be much better off avoiding overpriced consignment cars.

My offer on the 64 in Devner accounted for all of the issues that need to be dealt with, and then some unexpected things.
The biggest issue is adding A/C. My guys says $2500 will put A/C in this car.
This car is a 4 speed, the other car is an automatic. I don't care one way or the other.
I suspect I will be heading to Denver next week to check this car in person.
My offer on the other car is still pending, but it was a $60K offer on a $75K asking price.
Stay tuned....

OK, I am off to Denver.
Deposit put down on the car - check
Airline tickets purchased - check
Rental car reserved - check
Hotel room reserved - check
Drive the 64 coupe in stop and go, and highway speed traffic - needs a check
I travel to Denver Tuesday morning, check the car out around noon, make a trip to the Denver Mint (on my bucket list) that afternoon, then fly home Wednesday morning.
Fingers crossed that this IS the car.

Nice car, but the price seems a little high. I purchased my 64 the same color and silver interior 13 k less with air and 365hp.and yes frame off all trim and colors match.

The asking price and the final agreed to price are vastly different. We ended negotiations two weeks ago $3K apart; then the dealer called Friday me and told me they would accept my last offer.
I think the final price is very fair, not a steal, but a decent price for what I am getting.

These guys have a lot of crappy inventory that they sell with full knowledge of defects, but claim ignorance when caught. Ive seen so many first gen blazers go through there without rocker boxes. I suspect it is them that removes them if they are rusted out. I know for a fact that they did it with one that I passed on. I love their ads that have a finger pointing to a rock chip like that is the only flaw with the vehicle.

One thing's for sure, its a nice looking car ! Hope it works out.
Consignment is a tough deal when the owner is upside down in the car and the dealer still wants their commission...
