Anco Wiper Blades
Anyone know if Chevrolet put deflector style Anco Wiper Blades on the 67? They were on my car when I bought it and I'm trying to figure out if they're original.

AFAIK deflector style wipers were never factory installed.
That said, there sure are a lot of them "out there". I've seen many Sting Rays with them.
A '63 coupe I had in the '70s and early '80s had them.
My current '63 roadster has them.

No such blade was ever installed at the St Louis plant. However, just about every gas station had a cabinet stocked full of winged wiper blades and the pump jockey was told to sell as many as possible.

While this makes perfect sense, I've never noticed these on any vehicle other than C2 Vettes. Admittedly, that could just be tunnel vision on my part....

They used to be very popular in my area on trucks and passenger cars back in the day.

Just about every gas station in the 60's had a big yellow ANCO cabinet sitting outside stocked with wiper blades. I know because I worked as a petroleum transfer engineer at Grampas Shell gas station in the early 60's. You can see the wing attached to the holder.
I'm sure John Hinckley remembers these ANCO cabinets too as he worked at a Shell gas station at about the same time. (1962?)

The Anco "Anti Wind Lift" blades.

By the way, I currently have these wiper blades on my 66 and I first used them on a 1966 Chevelle SS that I had just after I got out of the service.

These wipers were as common as those silver, belt-worn coin changers the full service station pump jockeys all had. Remember those?

Yes, I remember those. The guys that worked at the Clark station had to wear those. They would come out to sell us cigarettes from that big box between the pumps. 23¢ a pack as I remember. LOL

We had the Anco cabinet AND the Trico cabinet at the Sunoco Station.

I wore one of those pumping gas on the Jersey Turnpike in the summer of '69. Mini skirts were very popular. We double washed a lot of windshields..............
