For the road race look either the factory steel wheel in black with the long studs and open end lug nuts or the gray spoke A/R TTs with no center caps. The Rally Wheel looks the best in it's stock configuration IMCO.

Default For wheels, another option

There's something about running black steelies which I did at the Pure Stocks. Kind of a throwback of when the drag strips required you to remove your hubcaps as they could become missiles into the crowd.

Here's a few pics taken a few years ago of me at the strip and also the result of hitting the guard rail one year (water pump seals blew out at 90 mph)...an awe s**t moment.

Battling!

That's Donny Brass on the left, me on the right, what a BLAST!

My "ouch"...could've been a lot worse:

Sheared that bumper bolt right off creased the leading edge of the bumper.

2004 Pure Stocks - Donny Brass on left & me...what a blast!

This one was taken early in the morning. I really like this one...kinda' sinister

Just another look on wheels.

Lots of wheel options for C2s...I've always been a fan of the old American racing 200s wheels (below)also..had a set on my camaro in high school back in the 80s

US MAG ramblers are another possibility..

Thanks for all the input guys..

Here's a few I've had on mine. Even some Rally's!! I liked the US mag Rambler 111's but later swapped to the Ridlers for some bling.

I have the Hurst Wheels, the car has to be the right color for them to look good.

First choice...knockoff wheels, either bolt on or real knockoffs
Second choice...silver rallys with trim rings and regular center caps. A timeless look.
Never a choice...TThrust of any variety. Not a big fan.

I have a 65 coupe which came with brand new TT. I went down the rally wheel path but in the end decided to pull the trigger on Corvette America bolt on knockoffs and BFG red line tires. My coupe is white with factory side pipes. The knockoffs finish it off nicely.

Black steel wheels look great! Rallys not so much. Guys love the Americans and the main reason you see them so often is they fit without a spacer...But honestly...so common now it's just nor as cool. Cragar SS look great but you need spacers...

63-4 Knock off look super too! 65-7 KO not so much.

Here is a cheap good looking wheel 'Cragar Eliminators' I want a set of those!

I like this the best.

With the spinner caps or with the stock center caps.

Kent, love the wheels, what brand are they? For me they will always be linked to the Trans-Am days when every competitor seemed to use them.

But seriously, you must show some pictures of the engine compartment...

So here is what your 64 will look like with original steel wheels with no hubcaps. Sometimes we run it with the caps on and sometimes we run it with them off.

Torq Thrust TTO. ‘O’ for Original, ‘O’ for Old school. A 64 with drum brakes is a perfect match.
