I am sure you understand that my comment about tie wraps and duct tape was me being facetious.

Hah, that was funny ! BTW, those shift rods are from a Hurst Super shifter also , I have one in my C-3 and had to cut the floor around the shift boot. Love the way it shifts though. It's a race car .

If Nowhereman was serious in his comment, everyone that put a Hurst shifter in a 66-67, eliminated the crossmember mount and mounted it directly to the trans. like the instructions state.
