Purchased my first C2 !!!
I purchased my first Corvette when I was a freshman in college in 1996. It was a gold 84 C4 that I paid $5,000 for. Fast forward 21 years and 10 Corvette’s later and I finally pulled the trigger on a C2. In the past 21 years I’ve had the following Corvette’s:
1984 Gold Coupe, 1992 Quasar Blue Coupe, 1997 Torch Red Coupe, 1998 Black Coupe, 2005 Yellow Coupe, 1978 Pace Car, 2007 Black Z06 Coupe, 2014 White Coupe, 1978 Pace (yes another one because my ex-wife made me sell the first one) and now........1965 Nassau Blue Roadster !!!!! At only 39 I think the bug really bit me hard.
Here are the factory stats on my new 65:
327/365 hp, knock off’s, side pipes, removable hardtop, teak steering wheel, power steering, 4 speed manual
It underwent a frame off restoration in 2005 and only has 2,000 miles on it since restoration. The factory 4 speed has been replaced by a Tremec 5 speed to improve drivability and AC has been added with a Vintage Air system
In scored an NCRS 3rd Flight Award in 2009 with a total score of 83.8 out of 100 (or 3772 out of 4500) and has about 1,000 miles on it since it was judged

Absolutely beautiful car!! My favorite color combo. Congratulations...now go out and drive this beauty...at least 2000 miles per year. Not to dampen your excitement but more as a point of correctness...your car was not a factory A/C car originally. If it were, you would have a center air vent and control ***** adjacent to the upper trim of the clock. No harm, no foul...the aftermarket unit is most likely more efficient and colder. Again, congratulations, and enjoy

Beautiful car. But it shows no signs of being a factory AC car. None the less it looks to be a great car with all the right stuff and colors

Beautiful color combination. Drive it often! Otherwise you can expect issues as these cars are meant to be driven. Dennis

Looks great! My '66 L79 is the same color with the hard top and I also added a Tremec 5 speed.

Wacky Bob - I would say you did very well. Love the second photo of the car at the gas pump.
