Every time you fill up the car, you can avoid putting more money into
the coffers of Saudi Arabia. Just buy from gas companies that don't
import their oil from the Saudis. Nothing is more frustrating than the feeling
that every time I fill-up the tank, I am sending my money to people who are trying to kill me, my family, and my friends. I thought it might be
interesting for you to know which oil companies are the best to buy gas
from.
Major companies that import Middle Eastern oil (for the period 9/1/00
8/31/01).
All of this information is available from the Department of Energy and
can be easily documented. Refineries located in the U.S. are required
to
state where they get their oil and how much they are importing. They
report on a monthly basis.
Keep this list in your car; share it with friends. Stop paying for
terrorism.............
Yeah, I agree.... from what I have read the "spot market" doesn't really know where the oil came from... its in a tanker and the price is up for bid.... most of the independant gas stations go this route.
If the oil companies have contracts with certain oil countries, then yes they know where the oil is coming from to fullfill that contract.
All I can say is that when she needs gas, she ain't too particular who's dinos she's chowing on as long as it 91 grade or better..... :smash:
There are oil brokers who buy oil from all over the world, but it may be sold from there office in South America were the tankers are based. So a shipment of oil on a tanker may have numerous compartments filled with oil from differant sources.
Anyone who thinks this is even remotely feasible is probably also waiting for the $5000 Bill Gates is going to send them for e-mailing some junk to 10 of their friends.
I have to go with Andy on this one....even if he is prone to dis the CCC....
I also have seen this "data" more than once in the last couple of years, and it has been disinfranchised several times..... If I knew for certain (defined as sound, corroborated and reliable data) that a certain outlet was selling non-mideast Beast food, THAT is where I would shop, even if the price was a bit higher. But, IMHO, there is NO way to know for certain..... :(
Good topic, however....anyone out there with additional information???
