[C2] Trip odometer disablement bracket
I had promised somebody (Jackfit?) the dimensions for the fliz device to disable the C2 trip odometer; which basically forces it into reset mode and takes about 1/2 the load off the regular odometer gear train and extends its life a good bit.
This bracket is for a May '63 car and the hole drilled is 11/32" to hold the piece on the steering column mast jacket mount plate. The digital micrometer measurement is the thickness of the stock used and I think the rest will allow anybody to figure out how to make one. The dimensions really aren't all that critical if they'll keep the reset button pushed up. This is for a 63, again, it may or may not be applicable to other midyears.

Yep, that does the job fine Frankie. Looks just like the one I fabbed up for my 65 years ago. I found a piece of metal strap in my shop, bent it in my vise like a Z, test fit it, filed it smooth drilled a hole, primed and painted it. Done. Took all of 45 minutes. Measurements not fussy at all. Does the job.
Forum member Vitaminmopar did this drawing based on the measurements above...
Again, confirm the applicability for your year car - this was done for a 63...
