They could have made the track an eighth mile to lengthen the shut down area. Must have been something else that shut them down.

Englishtown already has (had) both a 1/4 and a 1/8 mile track.

yes it is ,that was a premiere track with a long shut off area , he was probably knocked out when his motor exploded , I've raced there many times , great place all around especially with a national event , it will be missed

Fortunate for Northern Ohio, Dragway 42 just reopened after a complete bulldoze and rebuild. I competed in the Hangover Nationals there on January 1st. Ran a blistering 25 sec quarter mile basically on ice in my 2WD Ranger with no added weight.
