Default 1964 Corvette turn signal lever

What is the location of the turn signal lever on others 64 Corvettes?

My lever seems to be very low. Sort of points to 8 o'clock position in neutral position. Drops to 7 o'clock position when dropped down for right turn.

The column housing has a notch for the turn signal wiring, which is at the bottom (6 o'clock position).

And where do the wires for the turn signal switch run. Are they at 6 o'clock?

Mine is a little above 9. Early 65 shown.
Also I assume you meant "pulled down for LEFT turn"

And here's a 65 I owned in 2005 that's a little below 9:

And another 65 I owned in 2011 at 9:

Yes, I did mean pulled down for left turn.

Here is a diagram of what I am talking about. It is possible that I have the wrong steering column cone? Is there a difference in the cones between the various mid year cars?

OK, I have seen a couple on Ebay, and they are 9 o'clock and 6 o'clock.

I am going to take mine apart this weekend (for some other things as well) and I'll see what is up with it.

I can't remember between '63 an '64/later but my guess is your turn signal housing (cone) has slipped and rotated a little, counter clockwise.

Turn signal lever on all '60s GM cars stands at attention at 9:00.

Can't you just pull the cone and then rotate the column to match the cone you have.

My guess too after looking at it this evening.

OK, it was clocked off center, and I did not tighten down the jacket wedge. I am an idiot, but it is fixed.
