What model is that FI unit? I'm glad to see someone besides me has a 56 with FI.

Great looking power unit and car! Love it.
A couple of questions, if you please:
It looks like your tilter chain stays were tied into intake bolts threaded into your heads - is that right? I'll be doing mine shortly. If so, looks like the aftermost ones, and the ones just aft of the front intake runners?
If I may ask, is there something helpful for me (us) to know on why you selected those locations?
Also, it looks like you installed your power unit with the distributor installed - cool. I would like to install my power unit with the dizzy installed, too. Does that work okay?
Anyway, back to your regularly scheduled auto adoration, forum thread.

Did I mention, great car?

When I install engines, I usually have the exhaust manifolds installed and I use the outer corner ex manifold bolts.
This is the tired 350 we pulled out of my son's 73 and replaced with a 400.
I love the traction masters, big brakes and the trailer hitch too! I have a set but don't like the way the look with the u bolt around the spring.
My oldest son help me install my engine and was a big help, my young watched how it is done on YouTube and told me what I did wrong... You are lucky man to have them around.
Easy Rhino- I used the exhaust bolts also. I slip some thin rubber hose over the chains. I had my injection, dizzy and fuel pump on also.

This is the "replacement" 400 before we bolted up the TOTALLY rebuilt Turbo 400 to it. The intent was to duplicate the appearance of a 70-72 LT1 as much as possible-----------------but with 2 1/2in manifolds.

The distributor that was installed is my oil priming distributor with no teeth on the cam gear or upper components. I just chuck my 1/2" drill to it and spin it up to prime the oil system.
The FI unit is a 7320 that I rebuilt for this engine.
I got to admit, I love DZAuto's 56 and is one of my favorites.
