The C1 washer systems were complicated and finicky.
A more recent model might be an option...but they are noisy and require a lot of upkeep...
Would not mind going for a more recent model.
I have an assembly manual for my '60 but is hard to follow the hose hookups, thought I might have a hose incorrectly connected.
Is there a way to check if the pump is working, the vacuum canister and the wiper control ****?
First, get a mouthful of water and with the washer nozzle hose unhooked at the pump, blow the water through the hose and it should squirt out both cowl nozzles - if so, then the system is clear, not clogged, no kinks or disconnected hoses. Verify the hoses are hooked up per the attached diagram.
Next check the valve on top of the vacuum tank; it should be one way...you can blow on it to check it.
