I drove my first '67 everywhere, all year long, even towed a boat with it. Most C1/C2 owners today won't drive them in the rain - guess I'm guilty of that too now. Great pic.

I still tell everyone they are just old cars. I don't drive them in the winter because of the extended antique plates, other than that, I would be headed out on nice days. Love the sun and wind in my face.

Corvettes are just old Shev-a-lays. What's the big deal about driving in the winter?

Drove my 1970 for one winter (only car I had) It was like riding a 4x8 sheet of plywood on snow-bought a daily driver AMC Hornet for the next winter (not much better but smashing the AMC was OK).

Drove my 65 in snow back in the early 70's. It was my daily driver then. It leads a charmed life now, but I still drive it in the winter as long as the roads are clear and dry. Had it out yesterday.

Drove my 65 as a daily driver for several years in the 70’s in Colorado. It actually got around pretty well if I kept my foot out of it!

In the 44+ years I have owned my '67 I never drove it on wet winter roads. I have now reversed that fact. I committed the ultimate Vette driving sin this winter. I had no choice since I would be gone five days and my wife needed the home car. I had to drive 53 miles on wet, freshly salted interstate to get to my buddies home so we could drive to Fla Mecum auction. It made on mess, especially staining my wheels. Three of us were going in his big truck for practical reasons. I'm over it. Dennis

62 and 63 were daily drivers. Used a set of snow tires off a big Buick for traction that was otherwise non existent. Just radials on the coupe though used judiciously as not a great snow car.

My first Vette was a 3 yr. old '61 with the 270 hp engine and 4-speed. That car was actually a lot better than many passenger cars of the day in the snow. Think about it - the car had positraction, good ground clearance and snow tires. It also started right up on 10 deg. mornings with those 2 WCFB's dumping all that gas in to give a good rich mixture!

I drove my '61 in the winter in MT some days back when i got it in 1974 through about 1980 when i left for CA.

I would pull the shifter boot up to get extra hot air from the drive tunnel.

I drove my new 68 year round from 1968 to 1972 When I sold it. Even parked it outside overnight during that time. In Boston.

I don't have a picture of my 1974 L-82 Roadster....but I remember going to Deep Creek Lake mid winter prior to a terrible Ice storm...ending up with 2" of ice over my gas cap.....

Those were the days....My Friends......
