1960 230 1x4 intake manifold color
Can anyone tell me what the proper color is for my 1960 230 1x4 intake manifold? I don't yet have an NCRS guide. I see many aluminum colored intakes.

Chevy orange, available anywhere. Any aluminum colored cast iron manifolds are of "bubba" origins.

or, there were no, to the best of my knowledge, ALUMINUM intake manifolds OEM for that engine. if there is an aluminum, rather than cast iron, manifold on the engine then someone has changed it out

Base motor intakes of that year were cast iron and GM orange - and most do some overspray when painting the engines to simulate factory paint work.
You'd have to go elsewhere for examples I don't intentionally reproduce mistakes (unless they're my own
