I liked the alignment chart SnakePlisken posted over here (https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...omparison.html) so I thought I'd use that as a base to create a handy-dandy little chart showing the ideal specs for our C2 cars with radial tires and stock control arms. The specs on this chart are based on advise from both John Hinckley and SWCDuke.
I've shown both the "Touring" and "Sport" Camber settings on the chart so you need to pick one, and also the slight difference in Caster settings depending if your car has power steering or manual. Hope this is useful to someone. Cheers, Bill
I'm in the process of planning to install a Borgeson power steering kit in my 65 convertible. They recommend more caster (4deg +) than OEM recommends.
I don't believe you can get that much caster on stock control arms. I think 3.0* is about the max. I do agree that with power steering you should try for as much caster as you can get. When Borgeson mentions OEM specs ... they would be talking original bias tire specs ... which was positive 0.75*, so you want a lot more than that if you're running radials.

Duke, this is directly from my 66 Shop Manual, which would be specs for OEM (bias) tires. Sorry I was off by 0.25* ... I was going from memory. Caster for bias tires was 1.0* positive. Cheers, Bill

You need to install the slotted cross shafts to get more than 3 deg of caster.
