Anybody know anything about Romeo Engineering? I bought and paid them for A C2 carpet, have not received, and they are always out of the office.

Don't know what we can do to help............just keep calling. Or send a letter to them overnight express, and see if they respond to that.

If you paid by credit card take it up with them and tell them you can’t get a reply.....you’ll either get your money or your carpet. I will never understand why people buy from secondary suppliers....

I ordered carpet from him and got it pretty quickly.
I get the feeling he's a 1-man shop.

When I think of buying parts the primary suppliers in my mind are Paragon, Al Knoch, Corvette America, DeWitts and a few more....after that there are other suppliers such as the one mentioned but I don’t read about them and really have to have a burning need to buy from them.

So as far as carpet is concerned, why buy from Romeo? Is it better than ACC or Al Knoch or the others? Less expensive?

No mystery - that's the trade-off...
There are a bunch of posts about my RE '61 dash pad adventures for instance...
Supposedly their parts are improved since then - I'll never know cuz they're off my vendor 'short list'.
Once bitten, twice shy - as Grandpap used to say...
Moreover, if you know somebody in the restoration biz, they can often get you such things at incredible discounts from the top vendors such as AK/CA that approach the prices of the cheaper 'stuff'.
To wit, make some of the right friends in the hobby...

Even the "big guys" screw things up sometimes.
I received a faulty Bowden cable that would not close completely.
My AK top leaked goo onto the window when in the sun.
So much of this stuff is "single sourced" and sold by many.
The Romeo stuff I bought was made from the same materials as AK. I could tell from the markings on the back of the materials (carpet, vinyl).
Who knows - he may even be a supplier to AK???

Eventually I’d like to get new carpeting for my ‘65. Anybody have any recent experience with Romeo on how they fit and look as compared to the others? Much trimming necessary?
