Can a stain from rubber W/S be removed from paint
The stain is where the auxillary W/S is against the body when door is shut. The paint is about 7 years old and base coat clear coat red. We tried a rubbing compound but did not help. I guess the stain has penetrated the paint down to the fiberglass.

I had a rubber boot stain/mark on my old Jeep's rocker panel that wouldn't come out for years; then on a whim I tried Tub O'Towels. Gone.
Experiment on an inconspicuous area first.

It will probably come back again as I assume the door adjustment still compresses it, so it may not be worth too much effort on removal.

I was surprised to find out that good old WD-40 removes tons of stains from paint and doesn't hurt the finish. All sorts of stuff...tree gum, insects, rubber stains, adhesives. Try it.

I had a W/S adhesive stain on my door jamb as well. It was really dried up stuff. Tried: wd40 helped a tiny bit. Adhesive cleaner from 3m only helped a little even with soaking. Eventually had to wet sand and buff it away. I hope your W/S adhesive isn't that dried out...
