Anyone ever tried dying your door panel carpet?
My 61’ has black carpet, but the door panels are black olive. Has anyone ever dyed your door panel carpet? I’m wondering how hard it would be to go black. This is original 61’ carpet.

I think it is worth a try, myself.
I've known guys that used spray dye on car floor carpet that turned out looking okay.

I dyed mine about 4 years ago,, car is still hibernating ,,, hopefully next week will be wake up time
I used a small spray bottle and taped off the area,,, it turned out pretty nice

You can use black upholstery spray dye.
It looks OK. Somewhat better than spray-on hair for men, but since it is low on the panel, you don't really notice it.

I had a '64 coupe and the back carpet was sun faded. My wife told me to use Rit clothing dye. To my surprise it turned out really well. It was black, I don't know if other colors would work as well or not
