Finally!
Well finally after over a year, of owning a crate 350, I was able to start it up. What a great feeling to hear it start and run smooth.
We jacked up the rear and put it on stands to test the transmission. It went through every gear, Thank God, so I guess I aligned it correctly.
The tach works, the battery gauge works, the transmission shifted, and it appears the new wiring harnesses were installed correctly. Now, the speedometer did not work so I disconnected the cable from the transmission and connected a drill to it....Still didn't work. I reached under and disconnected the cable from the back of the speedometer and pulled the center cable out. It's all gunked up. The outer casing is cracking so I'm going to order a new one. I went to Advanced Auto's website and they say their replacement is 83" long but I measured mine and it's about 66-1/2" long. Big difference!!! Guess I'll wait and order it from one of the corvette vendors.
All in all, I'm thrilled, but tired of working on it....READY TO ENJOY IT!!!

when you run it on jack stands watch how far the rear wheels hang as you can put to much strain on the U joints and break something

As you can see from the picture above, I had a couple water leaks....didn't realize the drain plug was open and my expansion tank has a pin hole.
