That's what I'm dealing with. I have a 67 BB factory air condition tri-power coupe. I've had problems with the air conditioner for the 2 years I've had the car. I decided to send the compressor to Dominic Tallarita, a forum member, for a rebuild.
I removed the compressor about 3 weeks ago. While the compressor was sent off I thought I might as well paint the water pump. I removed the Alternator and brackets. After doing that the motor looked better so I decide I'd remove the exhaust manifolds and paint them.
I've re-installed everything except the air conditioner brackets and compressor. I now have these three spacers that I can't, for the life of me, remember where they came from or where they go. I'm pretty sure one of them goes between the bracket that holds the heater hoses and the top rear compressor bracket. The other two spacers I am Lost on remembering.
The bottom spacer in the picture is different from the other 2. The Bottom spacer the I.D. is 3/8" the other 2 have 1/2" I.D.

All Help will be Greatly Appreciated.
Thanks

Randy, do you have the AIM? Without it I'd have never gotten those washers back in order and the compressor lined up. Mine's a SB so can't help with the specifics on your engine, but referring to the AIM should sort you out.

Yeah, I've looked through the AIM several places and I can't figure out where they go. On page 280 in the AIM it shows 427 engine with air. There are several part numbers and some say L. Washer which I'm sure is lock washer others say P. Washer... I don't know what that is. It also shows SP. Washer? and Washer. I'm hoping somebody will be familiar with the spacers and lead me in the right direction.

Thanks

L. Washer is lock washer, P. Washer I believe is pressure washer (flat washer), Sp. would be spacer. I've had to Google part numbers to get a description of some of the hardware. The spacers typically go between exhaust manifold and compressor bracket to bring the bracket parallel to centerline. Usually there's a lockwasher but no flat washer on those bolts (through the rear compressor bracket). Then there are the bolts with french locks which may receive a flat washer but no lockwasher. All in all, a potentially confusing and time consuming assembly process.

Section C60, sheet C3 in the Assembly Manual shows the 427 compressor mounting in great detail, including all the brackets, bolts, nuts, washers, and spacers.

John beside me having a bad memory I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer either. I've looked at that picture a thousand times and if washer #9 SP. Washer means Spacer Washer I don't see what purpose it serves. Where the picture shows it goes doesn't look like it's spacing anything.

I'm still Lost. Like I said I know one of the spacers, the one that has a 3/8" I.D. goes between the top rear A/C bracket and the heater hose bracket. The other 2 spacers have a 1/2" I.D. and I still don't have a clue where they go.

Somebody needs to feel sorry for my dumb *** and explain where these spacers go. I guess I've resorted to begging, no shame.

Thanks Y'all
