I have a 1965 that until today all my lights and blinkers have worked perfectly. Even cancelling properly. Today I noticed the right front blinker does not work but the right back turn light works. Also the right green indicator does not blink. The left blinker works perfectly, back, front and left green dash light.
All the parking lights come on as they should.
Checked the bulb and it is good. Checked all the wires up to the bulkhead connector on the firewall. Pulled the bulk head connector and not getting flasher signal there, so pretty sure it is under the dash. I can find the signal for the left turn signal but nothing at all for the right.
I put a new light switch in the other day and it is possible I might have knocked a wire loose but trying to get an idea on where to look. Could this be the steering column connector? Weird also that the light and the green indicator light both stopped working. I am sure they are related.
It is a b***ch since the car is factory air car so lots have to come out.
I checked continuity on bulb base and the two contacts seperatley. Also switched the working bulb from the working side and still does not work. And the bulb works on the other side. Totally eliminated the bulb being an issue.

Ok, you checked the front lamps, but did you check the rear lamp? Front of rear will give the same indication. Did you check for both the rear brakes lights operating as well? You may have an issue where the turn signal wires make their connection to go forward.

You are losing connection at one of two places. Inside the turn signal switch, or at the "harmonica plug" on the steering column. First I'd check the connector and make sure the dark blue wire is pushed all the way in and the connector is fully seated. (shown by the red arrow in the diagram) It comes directly from the turn signal switch and is located above the brake and steering column, it's curved and has several wires going into it.
If that connector is good, it is almost surely inside the turn signal switch in the second picture where the red circle is. If you disassemble the turn signal switch you may be able to clean or tighten that contact. If the left front works, and the indicator on the dash and bulb for the turn signal don't work on the right side, that is pretty close to definite where your problem will be.
The dark blue wire could also be broken at the turn signal switch contact or in the harmonica connector, it's a straight shot of short piece of wire between those two points.
PS, if the problem was in the bulkhead connector or forward of that point, your turn indicator on the dash should still work.
The turn indicator on the dash ONLY works off the front turn signal, the problem is not in the rear.

Yep....checked the front lamp. switched side to side. The best clue is I am not getting flasher signal at the bulkhead connector so the problem is most likely under the dash.

Been tracing my wiring diagram also tonight and put the dark blue wire as the one to check so looks like I might be on the right track with your help.
I seem to remember moving that connector when I was working on the headlight switch and removing the a/c duct work as well.
That will be the first thing I check tomorrow night.
I hope it is not the switch but you never know. My blinkers have worked so well and better than I ever expected so I am hoping it is a loose connector.
Only reason I replaced the light switch was to clean the contacts in the original switch when I had time.
The dash lights would come and go intermittently when you dimmed or brightened them.

Thanks for the help.
I'm betting on a loose connection on the dark blue wire at the connector, or the wire connection pushed back out of the plug a little. Of course if you pulled on that connector going up to the switch, it could have pulled it loose up there also. Good luck with the lower connector.
So I got up this morning and before heading to work I reached up around the A/C duct and fooled with the connector. The blinker and dash light would sporadically work now and then. So I have identified the problem area, now just got to remove the duct tonight and find the loose connection. Glad it was not up in the turn signal switch. Should be a quick repair....famous last words!!!!
Update Pulled the A/C duct and looked at the connector. The blue wire was pulled partially out of the connector. Pushed it back in and problem solved. Thanks for all the suggestions and confirmations.John
Thank you for closing the loop. Far too many leave us hanging after the initial question and helpful responses have been posted.

Why??? If it ain't broke, dont fix it - sound familiar? Was there a problem that I missed?
