I wouldn't yank anything.....typically the connectors can be removed by depressing a small metal tab on the connector with a jeweler's screwdriver and then pull the connector out of its plastic housing. I have the tool shown in the lower right of the picture for such tasks; I used it a BUNCH when I replaced my bulkhead connector plastic housings...

I’m losing it. I just realized that those connectors are for the 61 turn signal connections. I’m pretty sure they just pull straight out. Give em a tug.
The ones you show just pull out. Use a needle nose and make sure you are pulling on the actual terminal, not the wire. Those can be tough to get out after 50+ years. Occasionally I have had to cut the plastic receptacle around the female terminal in order to get the terminals apart.
These are not the turn signals, they are the rear lights, license light, and fuel sender lines from the rear harness. But they probably do use the same connectors.
Already gave them a gentle tug... no dice.
Yes, it's been 57 years on these babies.
I'll give them a pull with the needle nose tomorrow and hope the the best.
Are you trying to remove the male or female (or both) connectors?
The female terminal is the one attached inside the plastic connector. The "TAB" in the picture below is what holds the copper colored metal female connector inside the plastic case. To release this terminal you insert a thin blade inside the plastic case and "flatten" the tab, it should pull out easily with the tab flattened. The male connectors shown in your picture fit inside the female connector and are removed by just pulling them out, using a needle nose pliers if necessary.

Thanks guys!
You might want to use some CRC #2-26 electrical cleaner and lubricant on the terminals to help separate and reinstall. I have used this for years with excellent results.
Home Depot and Lowes and various local hardware stores carry it.

I actually got a 2nd wind after dinner and pulled them out with pliers. They came out OK and the new ones attached OK.. so I got lucky!
But now I see I if I ever do the other harness I will need to release the tab from the other side (I was removing the male end this time).
