1957 convertible top header weather strip metal reinforcement??
As per the title MY car had a thin metal strip that the screws went through it and the rubber weather strip. I can't find anything on Corvette Central's web site about it. I don't know it it was something homemade by a previous owner or if it is factory?

56-58 used a 2 piece header weatherstrip retainer, 59-62 use a one piece retainer.
The 56-58 retainer set is available from Central, and most other Corvette vendors, for about $35.00. A search of their website for 56-58 header weatherstrip retainer, should reveal them.
