Default 63 turn signal problem

On my 63 the turn signal housing moves when the lever is turned for left or right. This is not a new issue but has done it since I purchased the car. Another C2 buddy said the "alignment wedge" must not have been installed if the previous had the steering column apart. I have found vendors who carry a replacement but I have no idea where it goes or how to get into the sleeve area. Even with the AIM it doesn't say much about the wedge. Any help would be greatly appreciated..thanks

As you sit in the drivers seat, feel around the housing, at the 10 o'clock position there is an indent. There should be a screw there. [the wedge will be on the inside thus not seen] If the screw is there try and tighten. Please get back to us.

GOOD CALL !!! I found the screw and was able to turn it about 3/4 to 1 full turn and the housing does not move . Thanks a bunch for that tip. Forum members never cease to amaze me.
