Your looking for the cast allumiumn Corvette script valve covers with no casting flaw. These cover must be the most popular and most sold by GM in the last 50 odd years

Is there a part number or do I not need to worry about that for NCRS

There are no visible numbers there is a casting number on the back side. If I remember correctly the covers you want have nine fins with straight bolt holes and NO casting flaw that occurred doing the 66 model year. There should be and always are many sets for sale. Paragon reproduces these covers but they still have the flaw but they polish it out. A good judge will detect it

Nine fins were for 1956/1957 ONLY he needs the seven fin no casting flaw straight across bolt pattern for a 1963 340 h.p.

I have a pair on right now with the casting flaws. I have the correct ones without the flaws and will be replacing them...which means soon I will have a very cherry pair of "flawed" covers that I am willing to part with. If anyone is interested let me know. It will be in the coming months. You can check my profile pics to see the condition.

The correct covers for your car were used from 1959 to somewhere in the 1966 model year, when the mold broke, which resulted in the casting flaw.

We generally refer to these valve covers as straight hole no seam (or no flaw) covers.

Lots of people have replaced the "flawed" covers with non flawed ones over the years.

I needed a pair for my 64, so I bought a nice restorable pair for $250, then spent another $177 having the restored.

Prices for good used ones are all over the place.

Do yourself a favor and don't buy a cheap set that just need a "little repair work". The repair work on these is expensive.

I seem to recall that places like Cranes Corvettes and ProTeam both had a restored set in the $400 range.
