Default blank engine pad
my '67 427 has blank stamp pad. info on GM engine replacement during assembly with unstamped engine pads???

Options:

1. Engine pad may have been cut and numbers removed when decking/rebuilding.

2. If new GM, then it started life a a bare block with no internals or a short block. If it was a complete engine it would have an assembly date and engine suffix stamped into the pad. There would be no VIN.
