Default Two questions

Memory, eyesight, old age and lack of computer skills so...
Who is the guy that rebuilds distributors and contact info?
Does the C1 engine harness have a bulk head fitting as C2. Where is it located? What vendor would you recommend?
thanks
CJ

Three names that stand out:

TI Speciality

Don Baker

Lars

TI Speciality will do a great job , but you may have to sell your firstborn.

Lars will do a great job, but his SUN Distributor Machine is broken. His cost was VERY reasonable.

Don Baker is Chicago has an excellent reputation for distributor restoration/repairs. He is the only one offering a OEM reproduction/NCRS correct #236 vacuum advance can........although it is a bit pricey. No idea on his costs, but he is my first choice for my own car (work coming up soon). He deals a a lot with the $$$$ FI guys.

Google name for contact information, or PM me.

Larry

EDIT: Where are you located in N'Awlins?? I live 20 miles West of downtown. Do you know Felix F. or Mike Leeds. ?? Bill Folse??

There are no C1 bulkhead connectors. Individual wire bundles go thru grommets in the firewall

Hey guys, thanks for the replies! I have low hp '60 that is mostly original, except for the trans, that I'm trying to at least look stock.

Removing the 'bubba go fast' stuff; like the big, ugly, red HEI dist w/red wires, big carb that would drown an alligator and all the chrome do-dads. Paint is 20/20 (20 ft/20 mph.) Not perfect but no worries letting kids and women sit in car, seems guys are too embarrassed to sit it seems!

Just paid more for a carb that I paid for complete vette back-in-the-day.

Yes, LARS is the name I was thinking of. Not looking for a 'show stopper' just something rebuilt and dependable and I know how to trouble shoot and change parts.

Couldn't find a bulk-head for engine harness but was hoping I had overlooked. Oh well, fire extinguisher and insurance are my friends!

thanks
CJ

I had been in touch with lars in late March about doing some distributor work for me. He said his Sun distributor machine repairs had failed and he was out of business. But go ahead and give him a try to see if something has changed - let us know if he is up and running again.
