I don't have any issues with my lawn equipment drying out even with ethanol. As much as I read about this I would at the very least have an auxiliary electric pump just for the prime. Please LISTEN to all of the above your fuel isn't draining back and syphoning the crab dry.

Maybe, just maybe, you don't have the right ones?

You want to see how fast today's gas evaporates? Put a little bowl of it out in the hot sun and watch it go away. Quickly. E 10 or non E 10.

I didnt know the op was putting his car outside in the hot sun with the hood up facing southwest. Or was it northeast with the hood reflecting on the carburetor. I know I damn sure wouldn't be pulling the air filter off every time I started it. Have you seen how much those original Corvette wing nut go for?

Mine started doing that right after I swapped out the fuel pump. Now I have to pump it a few times and roll it over for more than normal to get it fired. After the initial startup it's normal fast firing. So I figure it's a problem with the pump. No biggie though....I can live with it.

In years past, we drove the car more often or for some of us , every day as first car
