Default Re-clock the heat riser

My heat riser is not oriented correctly. I removed two of the nuts and one came out with the stud. The exhaust header pipe doesn't want to drop enough to clear the studs. What is the easiest way?

Try removing the clamp at the transmission crossmember. That might give you the slack you need, but I doubt it. The only other alternative is to try and remove the other 2 studs (not easy--they're usually seized in there) or remove the exhaust manifold bolts and lift the manifold for clearance.

I don't think the hole in the crossmember is big enough to get the pipe down far enough to slide the heat riser off of the studs, Mike.

Thank you both! I loosened the clamp and gained a little wiggle room and pried down on the pipe. The heat riser is now soaking in Evaporust overnight. It was a little frozen up from being installed wrong by prior owner. I am a true believer in this stuff. Thank you again guys.
