I have a 1966 C2 which has the VBP "Big Daddy" suspension and brake upgrade. The left front caliper needs to be replaced and I am not quite sure exactly to order. Of course VBP is now out of business and the only info I have is an ad that claims the brake upgrade includes C5 calipers on the front and C3s on the rear. All I have are two numbers cast into the front, 6334 in the center and ?473788 near the front. I have included a pic of the front caliper. Anyone recognize it?
You have classic standard C-2/C-3 calipers in the front. Get a set of two calipers with stainless sleeves and standard pads from one of our supporting vendors. Everything willbe fine. Dennis
If the one caliper needs to be replaced you may want to pull a piston out of it and see what kind of seal is on it. Lip seal or O-ring. One would think it has the same style seals on all four calipers and you may want to install the same with the replacements.
