Default Picked up ‘63 Split Window Restomod

Bought a 63 split window restomod today, I’m so excited to start digging into it, I don’t know all of the specs on the car yet. Just pulled into my shop with it tonight, here’s the info that I can think of:

- Wide front and rear fenders
- SRIII Chassis C5 front Dana 44 C4 rear
- LS1 built by MTI Racing engines Marrietta, GA
- Auto trans
- Remote locks and door openers
- Push button start
- Custom interior with dark red Mercedes leather

Not sure what changes I’ll be making, I’m certainly changing the wheels and tires to take advantage of the wide fenders front and rear. Possibly tear down and rebuild.

The seller was an amazing guy, I feel very fortunate to had had the opportunity to buy the car.

Here are some pics from today

very nice! color reminds me of Ron Champes car.....his car had a very subtle racing strip down the center...I had seen his car many times until one day I said..."hey, there is a stripe down the middle", Ron just laughed. RIP Ron!

Thanks Guys! I apologize for the car being dirty, ran into a storm on the way home with it and, just quickly wiped down the outside for pics.

Defiantly will be changing wheels and tire to take full advantage of the flared fenders.

Had to study that picture of the right rear. Finally figured out that it was a reflection of the aluminum trailer fender.
Nice looking and ought to be a fun drive!

I know whatever you do will be killer. I really had to look at pic 4 and blow it up. I thought that is a different style wide quarter panel. I was seeing the reflection of the trailer fender.

I think it’s just a reflection, I don’t recall anything being different in the jamb.

I’m not sure, it was originally built and featured in Corvette Enthusiast magazine, it was Burandy with cream interior. The gentleman I purchased it from gutted the interior and pulled the body off the frame and changed the body color to Porsche dark blue.

I think he only put about 120 miles on the car since he got it back from the shop 2-3 years ago.
