The last 5 digits of your VIN will give the cars sequential assembly number. Your entire VIN will be 40867S1xxxxx

The xxxxx is your sequential assembly number. Using that, you can find the month and day/week that your car was built..

There are no build records available, i.e. you will not find a "window sticker" list of options on the car.

Using the trim tag, you can find the original exterior color and original interior color and material.

Post the VIN number and post the numbers on the trim tag and folks here can decode them.

Your VIN will not tell you much about your car. What kind of build info are you looking for?

40867S1xxxxx
4= 1964
08= Corvette
67= Convertible (37 Coupe)
S = St. Louis
1xxxxx = production sequence

You will have to guess...................

But with a bit of knowledge about these cars, you can guess pretty close.

Welcome to the Corvette Forum. If you are the original owner of your '64, we would certainly like to see pictures of your car ...over the years.

Check out this link to the Vehicle Information Kits at the GM Heritage Center. (This one is for the 1964 Corvette)
https://www.gmheritagecenter.com/doc...t-Corvette.pdf

Browse through this for a bit and you will very likely discover a few things about your car that you never knew.

Good luck and again welcome... GUSTO
