Default Factory Air Help

I have a '64 with 300HP and factory a/c that I have owned since 1970. It has a build date in Feb. I am restoring the car and am attempting to get nearly everything "right". I am attempting to properly route the correct size vacuum hoses from the intake to the heater valve I have checked my shop manual-no help, AIM-limited help and the Corvette Restoration book Volume 2-no help. I have a threaded vacuum port on the intake toward the firewall side with one port. I do not have power brakes. The AIM shows 2 ports with a threaded fitting on the top. The port requires at least 3/16" inside diameter hose which is there with an adapter to 1/8" ID leading to a tee with 2 ports-one for the vacuum source, one for the hose leading to the heater bypass valve on the a/c/box and a larger side to attach to the a/c unit. I would like to see photos from those with factory a/c of the hose routing and connections please. I have looked for replacement hoses and found one for "early" and one for "late" 64. What is late? Based on my connector, I have an "early" car. Thank you all in advance.

DR REBUILD has drawings and the correct hoses for your needs. #222102.

Like Larry said, Doc Rebuild is a good resource.

FWIW, here's how my April '65 car vacuum hoses are routed.
There are 2 sizes of vacuum hose. Coming off the manifold vacuum fitting, A large hose runs to a T which I located on the firewall behind the coil.
The T has 2 large ports (in from manifold, out to brass vacuum switch on inner box) and 1 small port (hose to STV compensator).
On the brass vacuum switch, a small vacuum hose is connected to the output nipple. This small vacuum hose comes back through the firewall grommet and connects to the coolant flow valve.

The one mystery which I never found an authoritative answer to: Where exactly to mount the vacuum T on the firewall?? Hanging it from the hood release cable seemed to make sense.

Default '66 A/C Pictures

Here are few random pictures I have of my '66. It is an L79 with power brakes but maybe you'll find them useful.

If you think other pictures might help, I'll be back from Bonneville in a couple of weeks. I'd be happy to shoot some detailed pictures of areas you'd like to take a look at. Let me know.

Good luck with the project.

Thomas

Thank you Thomas. I'll look at Dr. Rebuild now. Your expansion tank has the same weld mine has!
