What area holds or supports the majority of the weight of the nose on a c2 vette
There is no ft body mount if you will ,so its glued in place and connected to the rad support?
Or is it that all the joints and pieces glued together gives it strength .

The radiator core support is bolted to the front frame horns, with shims, and is the tie in location for front end support rods, and the front fenders are bolted to the core support. The radiator support is a sturdy piece that is heavier than required just to hold the radiator. The front bumpers are supported by the bumper supports that bolt to the frame.
Your last sentence is your answer. Along with the radiator core support as it's bolted horizontally with an angular brace to the front frame horn and vertically at the sides. Dennis
There are also two rods from the radiator support to the headlight framing which includes the inner headlight pivot support and the large lateral steel member just in front of the hood. But the weight is on the rods.
The radiator core support ties things together and firms up the front as stated...its bolted in and shimmed... The support configuration varies between years - a 63 only support is shown:

My '67 only had shims on the vertical attachment points. Decrease or increase would change the hood to fender gap I think, but it would be one hell of an effort. I suspect that the moulding of panels varied some and the bonding the different sections varied some. When the rad support was installed I guess the line assembler looked for the gap and installed the appropriate number of shims. Yes, no maybe? Dennis

Yup. When the radiator support was loaded into the front clip (before the front clip was bonded to the firewall), the operator "stuff-shimmed" the side attachments to the inner fenders as required.
