I like quartz clock movement so which is less expensive to do, convert old clock to quartz myself with new face, lens, etc., or just buy a new clock? I assume the clocks the vendors sell for around $300 are quartz, and do they “tic tock”?
What year car for gosh sakes ?
VetteGal sold me a 61 quartz clock for $129 a few years back....C2s are a whole different ball game. A 63 ? Forget about picking up ANY type of movement cheap...
You can do the conversion yourself - I've heard claims that some will tic-toc but have yet to hear one....
And no conversion will have the "snap and whir" sound of the points rewinding the clock movement every 2-3 minutes...forget about fooling anybody with quartz.

Sorry, 1965. I have a quartz in my 59 and love it. Don’t intend trying to fool anybody, just like the sound if I can get it, no big deal.
