1966 Reverse Light Issue
Right inboard reverse tail light
All,
I did a search without much success. It appears the receiving end of where the bulb “tit” meets the wiring has moved & I can no longer get contact. Per the AIM, there is a clip that holds that in position but I’m not sure the process to go about finding it OR getting it corrected. Right inboard. All other tail lights & blinkers in rear working correctly. Have bulb out. It was stuck like Chuck. Have not attempted any access from underneath as thought I could pull part or all of assembly from panel with little effort. Not so. Pic attached but don’t think it will show much other than an empty hole. Thoughts/advice appreciated. Oh, long time stored, mostly original garage find. Even T3s. May not make any difference but trying to stay stock.
TIA,

How best to find/repair? From the bottom and behind? I was thinking pulling the entire tail light assembly straight out from the panel but that probably doesn't give me enough access. Sorry for the dumb questions. One area of a C2 I've never had to venture into. I'm sure there will be more
Do I need to drop spare tire carrier, remove lower valance, etc.? Trying to get a plan of attack before this little venture. Looks like I'm gonna have to pursue from inside, rear of the tail panel? Just want to be sure before going that route.
Again, sorry for the dumb questions and TIA for any tips.
Best,
PO
