It's always a risk to answer a question like this because so many of these cars have been modified.
Those tires will fit on those wheels, of course. Most likely the rears will clear the quarters. The fronts may or may not clear the fenders when the steering wheel is fully turned. I found that in my '64, 205/70R15 tires clear just fine, but 215s would rub the fender lip at full lock, especially if the suspension was compressed.

A half inch wider wheel with the same width and height tire you currently run should not be any different at the tread.

I have 205/75/15's that I had on the original '66 steel wheels with wheel covers, before mounting them on the Corvette America bolt-ons a few months ago.

I bought a set of C/A knock offs from a guy that had never put them on his car, the rims had 215/70-15's on them. After hearing several stories of people turning into a driveway & cracking their front fender when the suspension compressed and jammed the larger than stock into the fender, I got a set of 205/75-15's just to be safe.

I run the same combo on my 65. I had 215/75s previously and I had to file a small amount off the lower valance on the pass side. Also, with a severe bump on a left turn the wheel ticked the wheel well lip. But, no problems with 215/70s

Running 215/70 on C/A bolt on KO's on my '66 for around 5 years w/o any problems.

Also running 215/70/15 tires and BO wheels on my '64 with no issues. As mentioned, care needs to be taken entering or exiting a driveway at full steering wheel lock.
Running a different set of wheels (American daisy 200s), one night while exiting a parking lot driveway too fast, this happened to my car. The right side upper fiberglass inner lip area was cracked. Before this happened, doing it 'slow and easy', there wasn't a problem.
