Default 62 Powerglide

Can someone with an original 62 powerglide tell me if the kickdown rod for the transmission has adjustment or is it just a straight rod.
The problem I have is when I bought the car there was no neutral safety switch on it, now I'm finding out that some of my linkage is incorrect.
If can find all the information up to 61 and from 63 up, but 62 being one year only in this area it's hard to find the information.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

There is no adjustment to the rod. This is the one you need. The '62 is unique in that it is curved.

The upper rod that you need is p/n 3795893 and is Corvette specific. It uses a swivel and a clip at the back end for adjustment. It's 14.5" long.

If it's not a 2x4 car, it should be 3759064 according to the P&A.

That rod is only about 11" long. The one on my car is about 20"

I checked the length of the upper kickdown rod on my '60 and it was 13". I haven't had any luck finding p/n 3795893 anywhere. Any ideas where I can get one?

You might try Dr. Rebuild he can usually find or have knowledge of where to get hard to find items like this. You can also set up and watch on EBAY I have found several hard to find Powerglide parts there when they show up. 62 Powerglide parts are sometimes hard to come by which is probably why you have the problem you have now. Good Luck
