Default Time to move on.........

After 16 years of ownership, its time to let my 64 go.
https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...ale-wanted-58/

Thinking of moving 25 - 30 years forward in a C4 ZR-1.

I'll be around, but thanks to everyone who has helped over the years.

Looks like a great deal, and you will be missed.

My friend and and I just drove the zr-1 his dad bought new from Oregon to Chattanooga TN. Phenomenal car and has me shopping for one!

I did all 16 injectors when it came home. If you aren’t already check out zr1.net. I’m on it. So much good tech advice.

Nice car. Pretty color combo. Don’t forget about us. Appreciated your help and inputs throughout the years.

One of my local friends has a ZR1 and I've been to the ZR1 net website. Visited with a large group at Carlisle last weekend.

What happens to your 400 small block? As I recall you had a lot of really nice parts tied up in that engine.

ZR-1's are fantastic yet underappreciated cars. Mine's a 1990 black/black.

Car will be sold with the 406 installed, running NOM 327/300 included and Numbers matching short block.
Also, all spare parts and original stuff goes with the car.

Cleaning out the garage.
Whoever buys the car will need a pickup for all the stuff.

I've got a line on three 91's.
Steel Blue/ Grey interior
Teal/Black
Dark Green/Tan

Once the 64 is gone, then I'll start shopping.....

Another one off Vette to look at. Lingenfelter twin turbo Corvettes, my son has a 1999 with 40,000 miles on it today.
Factory Stock with 650 HP at the crankshaft.
His is modified now, made 738 HP at the rear wheel last time on the Dyno.
It can still give you nearly 30 MPG when on a 70 MPH cruise with the 6 speed manual.
LS technology, C5 ride and comfort. Drives like a bone stock C5 till you introduce the boost.
C5's ride better than C4's.
They made two versions, Level 1 used mostly stock engine components and less boost. I think this one is rated around 500 HP.
Level 2 had a fully forged bottom end in the block and was rated at 650 HP. Car & Driver Magazine drove one of these to a top speed of 226 MPH.
Either one will blow the doors off most cars ever built.
Just another option.

Not a big fan of C5's even if they are the best track car.

I like C4's and have driven them quite a bit.
The ride can't be any worse than my daily.... 09 R8 V8. I can feel every pebble on the road.......

I like the 2002-2004 Z06. These cars stock will do 115-118 mph in the quarter stock. Nice ones are out there in the low to mid 20’s. The C5 platform is much better than a C4. For a big guy like me, they are much easier to get in and out of. There are some great colors too. C4 parts are getting hard to find, lots of electrical problems that can be hard to diagnose and air pressure sensors that don’t work well and a PIA. The interior and dash in a C5 is much better than a C4 and the C5 dash is similar to the C2. There is a reason C4 ZR1’s are cheap. These are my opinions, it’s your money buy what you like.

That's a lot of C2 convertible for the price. I wish I was ready for another one. Good luck with the sale.
I wish you the best in finding your ZR1. The are great cars. By the way I agree with your comments on the C4. The ride is certainly tolerable.

I spoke to my son about your plans, he has the 99 C5 Lingenfelter car. He says you have a great idea. He is convinced the C4 market will surge. Says so many C4's were retired that good examples are becoming rare.
