Matching Numbers

I have a 1966 C2 Supposed to be matching numbers, the engine clearly is (unless its been re-stamped) is the gearbox and axle stamped the same way with the vin number? Anyone got any pictures?

The transmission should have the VIN stamped vertically on the driver’s side on the main case just rear of the side cover. No VIN stamping in the differential

From my 63. Stamped vertically on the driver's side.

Thanks, Is it possible to see the vin on the gearbox if I crawl under the car?

Its very difficult to see from the ground. If you put it up on a lift or jack stands where you can really get under it, then you can see it
