I think you have an October 17th CE engine with 64cc 461 heads. Don't recognize the intake. There is no designation that defines what a CE engine could be internally. You'd need to know what is was ordered as. Could be a 250 horse or 375 horse 327. Not sure but it could even be a 350cu in. variant.

CE. Service replacement block. Q-Jets did not show up on Corvettes until '68. Intake is Rochester '67 (probably passenger car) 327/275 hp.

3959512 blocks were service replacements only. Not used used for regular production at assembly plants. As previously stated you would need to know what it was ordered as when new. You could start be performing a compression check to see what that reveals. Other than that you may have to tear it down. .

The 3959512 partial/short blocks were used for warranty replacement and over the counter sales starting somewhere around 1969. It wasn't just for car warranty. There would have also been a warranty on an over the counter sale.

I don't think any were ever installed in new vehicles.

The CE stands for Chevrolet Engine.
