My 1965 Corvette Making Sound
Can you Corvette veterans please help me?
My 1965 corvette L79 makes a bump sound from the rear when i remove my foot from the accelerator.
Any idea what it maybe? It just started.

I could tell you that you are not supposed to take your foot off the accelerator,
OR
I could tell you the C8 section is the wrong section.
Take you pick.

Terry, from your limited description my 1st guess would be a U-joint. Got a 1963 myself.

Most likely u-joint but other things can be loose...
Like the other guys said, probably u-joint. But check anything back there with a bolt for tightness. You'd be surprised how many things can come loose over time. Nice car, btw.

More than likely pinion snubbers.........hockey puck like rubber bushings that will chunk when getting off accelerator..
I own a dozen vettes and that has been an issue on my 63 split and 66 BB

You already posted one thread asking about this where various people took time to answer you - so what's the point of a second thread ?
