Anyone see this 1954 on BAT? $51,000 with about 4 hours to go doesn't seem too high to me for this car.
It seems at one point in 1960, it had been fitted with a Pontiac V8... perhaps an OVC 6 would have been more appropriate?
"The original Blue Flame inline-six was removed and replaced with a Pontiac V8 and a 3-speed manual transmission by a mechanic in Boise, Idaho, in 1960. A correct 235ci Blue Flame inline-six and Powerglide automatic transmission were sourced around 1980 when the car was restored by the current owner’s grandfather."

I don’t know how much effort it would take, but I’ve always liked the Buick Grand National V6 with turbo. Wonder how that car would be with that engine, or any C1 for that matter.

Sold yesterday for $57,575. Did you get it, Gusto?
I have a good friend who just bought one of these white '54s a few months ago, and another who bought a harvest gold '55. I'm liking these cars more that I thought I would.

I did rather like the idea of using a later model 6-cylinder in place of the original stove-bolt 6 however. Even one with a turbo charger or a Paxton. The Paxton was installed by a lot of different manufacturers back in the 50's & early 60's along with being an aftermarket add on. The OVC-6 would certainly fool a lot of folks.
