Default Restorers in Oklahoma

Any suggestions for shops or individuals who can do restorations or updates on a C-1. Needs to include body lifts and frame work.

Thanks

This group over in Purcell have created some show winning resto-mods but it looks like they do restorations as well:

Also check with the locals here at The Oklahoma City Corvette Club, some of the members do work on other enthusiasts Corvettes and if not, they can recommend you to someone that does.

Thanks Ray,

We are thinking along the same lines. I contacted the president of the club a week ago and he gave me a couple of shops who do some work, but told me they did mostly maintenance. I do need to talk to the Purcell guys and I've seen their website. I just figured they might consider mine a ghetto project compared to what they normally do. But. I much appreciate your suggestions.

Thanks for the suggestion. I see no corvettes in their photo gallery and working on a fiberglass car is different that a metal car. Hoping to find someone who has corvette knowledge and knows some of the pitfalls they present.

if you are simply going to change frames, and maybe the drivetrain, fiberglass car experience is not required; these are essentially R&R operations that a competent person(s) (I did it myself as have many others) can handle.

finding COMPETENT is your mission

Absolutely correct Bill. Keyword is COMPETENT and that is not as easy to find as one would think. One option is a body lift and new stock frame, but if you don't know fiberglass cars I just assumed that could be a fiasco. I know the body needs to be shimmed when reinstalled, so a little plastic car experience would be nice.

...Steve does nice work...Built a Ridler car...He'll figure out the fiberglass...

You're doing the right thing asking for referrals ahead of time and not asking what went wrong later...
