The drivers door on my 1964 looks to have sagged a bit. If I open it and pull it up it moves about 1/2” (the passenger hinge doesn’t move at all). To be clear, the movement seems to be in the jam where the hinge arms enter the body. It is like classic hinge pin or bushing wear. Is this a common problem and how difficult is it to repair?
Verify the rivets in the door are not loose. Look at the rivets at the front and bottom of the door while moving it. They are about the size of a nickel just less than a quarter.
Many threads on this subject that can be searched for. Fix requires removal of the door. Some have actually managed to replace the flat head rivets securing the reinforcement but most of us have used a flat head screw and nut them on the inside.
