Default Windshield replacement

Need to get a new W/S sometime, as my seal is horrible and the glass is scratched by the wipers. Should I wait to do this until I get the car painted or does it "really" make any difference? I've heard both ways, but would like to have a nice tinted W/S in the car now. I guess it can always be pulled when the car is painted and put set aside during the process.

To replace the windshield you will have to remove it to do it properly......when its being painted is the perfect time. In the old days people would replace the windshield by pulling on the frame and breaking the window post tabs on the bottom then they could gain access to easily remove the windshield....probably not what you want to do...so it needs to come off.
