Default Front Springs

So I have a 63 convertible with the 327 340 HP motor. Ive been tearing it down for the restoration and had a question about the front coil springs. The springs I pulled out were worn out but Im not sure they belonged in this car. The length was 15.25 in and the spring coil diameter (thickness of metal) was .547. Looking at new springs I see its recommended to use a different set that measures 12.5 in. long with a coil diameter being .672 Does anyone know whats supposed to be used ?

Thanks

Going from memory i think the original springs are constant rate with seven coils, I can't remember the wire diameter but if no one else posts I will check later. Did your front sit low?

The spring changed in 1964 to a progressive rate spring which has coils at the top closer together.
