Mark, here is my attempt to easily adapt the Ridetech front sway bar to the Global mount. Tell me what you think. I see you are using the stock bar. Mine was really close to the lower arm cross shaft bolts so want to make this work.

Hmm, I have my front bar, but haven’t tried to install it yet. I got my front Wilwood brake kit today and will install it and the sway bar tomorrow. I’ll let you know what I find on sway bar fit.

That piece of angle iron iron looks strong enough. Of course I practice overkill and would weld a triangular reinforcement to one side. Perhaps monitor it for the first few hundred break in miles.

It takes little imagination why so few were produced. Black exterior is fine ........ but silver interior ?????????? Reminds me of a ladies hand bag. Next to silver, tan interior on black exterior ...... Not in my garage. I would avoid them at all costs.

Hi Will, - Thanks for the Post and info; and link to your thread to which I've just subscribed, big fan of the CB C3's just not the removable T-Tops and prefer the roadster with the removable Hardtop - there was a "skunk works" production C3 built by the factory with an all alloy 500CID and Lucas mechanical fuel injection that came out through the back door of McLaren Cars - Best Regards GV

I was given the stock coilover they use with their Corvette system and I suspected it was wrong, but couldn’t confirm as it was a bare chassis. Mark gave me a good contact at Ridetech and they will make it right. Did the first body drop two days ago and confirmed it is high in the front. I am using the Ridetech rear as well, with a beefed up differential and 1480 axles. Absolutely have not seen better looking control arms than the Global and my thinking was exactly like Glenn’s as far as brakes go. I am staying with 15 inch wheels. Love both Mark and Glenn’s builds. Check out my chassis build GV.

Tires came in and I got a couple hours in on the front brakes.

Big *** rotors

Big *** brakes

Big *** wheels

Plenty of room! Everything is all torqued so I can put the front end on the ground and pull the engine/tranny this week.

No, it was for sale on eBay a few years ago. It’s been painted black and was on eBay again. In the Midwest.

I can confirm that my front sway bar fits fine. It does have the same issue I had on the ‘64 convertible where the aftermarket frame brackets while slotted, the two mounting holes are still about a 1/4” too far apart. The simple solution is to clean up and paint the original frame brackets which is what I did.

Wheel at ride height fits well. I thought the Wilwood brake kit would add 3/4” to each wheel, but no it is in almost the exact same place as the drums.

I cycled the wheel from lock to lock and bumpstop to bumpstop to check for interference. I need about 1/4” at the rear edge of the wheel well which is currently unfinished and will be an easy blend.

Anyone know if this is what is meant by the N11 off-road exhaust option? This car came with that option originally. I’ve now removed the entire exhaust (not original) in preparation for pulling the engine and tranny later this week.

home made exhaust. N11 where stock exhaust head pipes. but the mufflers had two baffles instead of three of the standard mufflers

Hi Mark; Wheels look "nice" and sit well under the flares, seem to have plenty of room to spare between the tyre and fender lip; or is that a deception, would a higher profile tyre fit under there ? - GV

PS: Pic of an MC which I think is a nice looking piece of kit

Yea, if there's one lesson I've learned from my car, its that you're always better off cleaning and reusing factory brackets/hardware when available because the aftermarket stuff is so inconsistent with regard to fit and quality.

They are “nice” at least to me. It’s been cold, so my garage doors are closed and it’s a bit dark. There is about 3/4” between the tire and the unfinished fender lip. That will shrink a bit when the fenders are finished.

That car has big feet. Guess you need some better garage lighting if this weather keeps flip flopping.
