Coil wire
About 3 years ago I bought a set of braided spark plug wires for my '66 427. Somehow the coil wire burnt through and needs to be replaced. I can't find anyone who sells just a coil wire, much less the proper length. I would even be happy with buying a good used one. Does anyone know where I can purchase just a coil wire about 4" to 6" with 90 degree boots on both ends???

Time for a trip to the junkyard. I've never been able to find individual wires for a motor with a distributor at any store. A coil wire from any 1974 and earlier GM v8 car will fit inside the distributor shielding. Save the boots from your original wire. Wire with straight distributor terminals can be coaxed into angle terminal wire using a 90 degree boot. Did that to make a set of braided shield wires out of a Bosch aftermarket set of plug wires.

unless you need it to be OE, auto parts stores sell wire by the foot. You should be able to reuse the boots and metal ends.
