Engine casting numbers
Looking to see what engine I have. Plan to put in my 63 convertable
Looks like 3970010 rear & MK07800 front. Looks like either 302, 327, or 350. Looking for something a little more precise
Head numbers look like 3998893 or 3988883 hard to read, any thoughts?

The "010" block is a 4" bore block and you are right about the possible displacements. The MK07800 code is likely a re-builder's stamping. Who knows what it means. To know what the engine really is you'll need to do some disassembly and measure the piston stroke. 3" == 302, 3.25" == 327, 3.48" == 350
